A Miami-bound passenger plane landing in the Honduran capital Tegucigalpa has overshot a runway, leaving at least four people dead.
About 65 people were also injured as the plane skidded off the runway and crashed into a busy street, trapping cars under its wings.
TACA airline's Flight 390 was arriving from El Salvador, carrying 135 passengers and crew.
Officials say the plane was trying to land in heavy rain and fog.
The plane's fuselage buckled and broke apart in places

The pilot, two passengers and a motorist, believed to be a taxi driver, were killed.
TACA airline president Alfredo Schildknecht said the Airbus A320 skidded off the runway after the pilot made a second attempt to land in heavy rain and fog.
Braking conditions
"We know there was bad weather at the moment of the landing and the captain was not able to land in his first attempt," he told a news conference.
"He landed in the second attempt, apparently braking conditions were not optimum, the landing strip was wet and the plane [skidded] off at the end of the runway."
A doctor at the hospital treating the injured named one of the dead passengers as Harry Brautigam, director of a regional development bank.
Janneth Shantall, wife of Brazilian Ambassador Brian Michael Fraser Neele, is reported to have died in the crash, and the former head of Honduras' armed forces, Gen Daniel Lopez Carballo, is said to be among the injured.
One survivor, Mario Castillo, described the crash on Honduran TV: "Suddenly we felt a big noise and we were all trying desperately to get out.
"The worst injured were the people in business class."
More than 2,000 gallons (7,500 litres) of jet fuel spilled out of the plane, which had split into three pieces.
Authorities hosed down cars trapped beneath the wreckage, and tried to clear away hundreds of onlookers amid fears of an explosion or fire.

The flight, which originated in Los Angeles, left San Salvador at 1430 GMT.
It had been scheduled to stop briefly in Tegucigalpa and in San Pedro Sula before heading to Miami, Florida.
Tegucigalpa, surrounded by hills, is one of the most difficult airports in the region for landing because of its short runway and an unusually steep approach

S Africa to set up refugee camps

Aid agencies warn the government lacks the expertise needed
South Africa is to set up seven refugee camps around the country for foreign migrant workers who have fled a recent wave of anti-immigrant violence.
The holding camps will take up to 70,000 people from the increasingly unsanitary conditions at temporary shelters put up around state buildings.
The government decision comes despite strong advice from respected international aid agencies.
They say South Africa does not have the
expertise necessary to run the camps.
Medecins Sans Frontiers (MSF), the medical charity, says conditions for people seeking refuge in the existing shelters are worsening.
Little experience
Aid agencies say the true number of displaced people is at least 80,000.

Hungry? Try shark fin soup!
Jimbaran, May 28: Call it shark for food lovers with some conscience: an Indonesian chef is making soup and other dishes from the flesh of the big fish whose survival is under threat because its fin is prized in Asia. Shark fin soup is considered a delicacy in this region, while the meat of the fish often seen as a ferocious sea predator is largely shunned because of its strong taste. Bali-based chef Budi Susilo says he's come up with a way to make shark more palatable, and less vulnerable to being discarded in the ocean after its lucrative fin has been carved out. "I came up with the idea while working on a cruise ship in the Caribbean and discovered people there ate shark meat. It was tasteless," Susilo, who owns Pak Item Restaurant in Bali's Jimbaran resort, said. "When I returned, I saw none of the restaurants here serve shark meat. So, I opened my restaurant and tried to be creative with shark meat," said the 42-year-old Susilo, who is better known as Mr Black, because he wears black every day. Environmentalists say booming demand for shark fin soup, especially in China, is threatening the existence of several species, with fishers all over the world, and especially Spain and Indonesia, catching sharks for their lucrative fin and then discarding the carcasses. Pak Item does not serve shark fin and Susilo said it took him two months to come up with the right ingredients to marinate the meat to make it taste better — a mix of spices and herbs which he's not about to reveal. Pak Item has been going strong since 2005 and serves shark meat in several ways: stewed, barbequed, fried or mixed in with a local favorite, fried rice. Susilo uses blacktip reef sharks that are less than 4 meters long for his dishes and buys his daily supply from local fishermen in Bali, where most of the sharks caught are too small for restaurants selling fin soup. Most customers come to Pak Item for the shark, which is considered as a cheap source of protein. "This is my first visit to this restaurant. It tastes good," said A Teng, 46, an Indonesian who was tucking into shark stew. But not everyone is impressed by Susilo's efforts. Indonesian environmentalists have protested against the killing of sharks and are working to draft legislation to protect the big fish. Indonesia is considered one of the main culprits when it comes to overfishing sharks. Bureau Report
